Samuel Bradley’s photographs result from a careful and considered process. Contrived interactions and quiet details overlap to create a documentary style of image-making. The seemingly mundane becomes surreal and engaging when fleeting observations are placed alongside grander and more deliberate scenes. This approach is applied to a broad range of subject matter, from art fair attendees for AnOther magazine, to vivid floral textures for Burberry. His commercial work for Harvey Nichols, Timberland and Orlebar Brown feels warm and authentic, containing the same thoughtful mixture of people and place.
Samuel Bradley grew up in the sprawling Devonshire countryside and is currently creating a nostalgic document in the hills and seaside towns of the English Southwest.
